Amanda + Kurt

Right from the start, they knew they wanted me to visit their cottage for their engagement session. But it isn’t just a cottage for them. This is a little gem of an Eganville family cottage estate property. Amanda’s great-grandparents owned all of this land and as they retired, they slowly started to disperse the land and build cottages for their family. And what a property it is. I drove through winding roads and no trespassing signs to get to this little hidden gem where they spend many weeks together as a family each year.

After a few scheduling hiccups, we finally got to meet and spend this gorgeous golden hour together by the lake. I absolutely loved how adventurous and self-led this session was. Amanda had a LOT of ideas. From popping champagne showers to wading into the chilly river in late October, it sure led to some unique imagery. I can’t wait to see how their wedding unfolds next June at Stonefields Estate!
