Tropical greenhouse engagement

You know they say when you meet your spouse, you just know? I feel like when I meet an NA Bride I just know. When you can see them light up about their vision and how your photos would just fit so well with it, that’s how I felt when I met Sam. On top of the fact that their proposal felt like my fairytale dream come true.

These two met at the University of Ottawa’s Morriset Library, but she had heard about him long before that! Their friend that introduced them had been talking about him to her for a month before she had them meet!

Akeem had Sam’s whole family in on the proposal. As she describes it, she was getting all dolled up thinking she was headed to a cousin’s divorce party (ironic, right?!) He picked her up and drove her towards Petrie Island. He walked her out to the middle of the snowy field and proposed under the stars…and FIREWORKS! I’m OBSESSED!!!

Since the majority of their wedding photos will be taking place downtown Ottawa, Sam wanted to change it up to include more greenery and nature in their engagement session to juxtapose their urban wedding photos. After some research, she decided that the Tropical Greenhouse on the Central Experimental Farm would be perfect!

I am BEYOND excited for their wedding at TwentyTwo at The Westin Ottawa this August!!!
