I arrived at Orcharview on Saturday to a very cheerful bride, just as I expected I would this morning. You could tell everyone in the room felt the same way; Katie is just so gleeful to be around. My face hurts from smiling as much as I did with her and Justin that day. If you remember their engagement session, it was a rainy afternoon but that didn’t get these two hopefuls doubting that the sun wouldn’t come out—and that it did!
Her girls were all ready to go, just finalizing small details and jamming out to Taylor Swift (my kinda bride!) when I started sorting through all of her pretty details. And looking at her dress *swoon* makes me regret not going lace for my own wedding! Stunning! After some champagne popping, her mother laced her into her dress before the big reveal to dad. Poor girl, Katie cried and her contacts were a blur for a long while after!
The two tied the knot* in the gazebo by my good friend and colleague, Tess Porter; such a sweetheart. We had a blast photographing this wedding party, and we must be SO lucky because the tables that our couples place us at are always a good time. Before leaving for the evening, I photographed Katie and her girls shaking it off with Taylor Swift while dancing with them!
