Another year come and gone! I can’t believe this is already the fifth year that Brian Henry of Quality Entertainment has put together this amazing honourary evening to showcase all of the amazing wedding vendors in Ottawa. It is so great to celebrate with colleagues that we often work with but don’t always see, with all of the ins and outs of different timing on a wedding day. It’s also another amazing step in the direction of community over competition, and helping each other build amazing businesses instead of stomping each other down.
I’ve been so honoured to be nominated each and every year, and although I haven’t taken home People’s Choice, last night I took home my first Platinum Ottawa Wedding Award for the best wedding detail photo!!! Ahhhh so excited!! I couldn’t even believe it when I heard my name called. I was like ummm….am I suppose to get up? Long dress, don’t trip, don’t trip….because anyone who knows me, knows I’m a complete klutz and I’m still uber surprised I didn’t eat dirt on what felt like a kilometre walk to the stage!!
Beyond that, I had SO much fun dressing up – entrepreneurs, ya feel me!? Messy bun & yoga pants on the daily. So thanks Brian for the excuse to get out and feel pretty ;) Never a bad time to rock a Taylor Swift red lip!
Aaaand I’ll toot my own horn for even hiring some of the best wedding vendors out there! ;) Congrats to my amazing colleges Capital Florist, my videographers Peaking Zebra Productions, Klava Z makeup, The Gathering Event Co., With Love Bridal and Cellar 82!
