You’ll hear different versions of the story depending on who you ask, but long story short, they met at a costume party and it defintiely wasn’t love at first sight for Helen. Curtis on the other hand, was smitten. Eventually, Helen gave Curtis a shot when he hit the right note by asking her to the Food & Wine show. And as you say, the rest is history. Curtis grew up on the west coast sailing all his life, so they fittingly chose to tie the knot* at Britannia Yacht Club.
Because of all of the heat, they had been threatening storms all week – but with all the wedding luck, as the day went on it got delayed and delayed. Some areas of the city got some rain, but we did not get one drop. It was a warm one still, but this amazing wedding party braved the heat for a gorgeous ceremony outdoors by the river.
Congratulations Helen + Curtis!! We loved celebrating your big day with you!
