I’ve been a country music fan literally all of my life. My iTunes library is worth millions, I practically fund the local concert venues, and I love the whole back-end management and production end of the music industry so much so that if I wasn’t a photographer, I’d be an artist manager of some sort. I have always listened to local radio and supported local artists. I remember hearing Brea on the radio in 2013 with the release of her first radio single, Honey. Nine epic singles and two albums later, Brea Lawrenson is a growing country music superstar, who I believe is still only just getting started. Probably the most unconventional way of booking a photographer, when I saw that Brea was engaged on Instagram, I messaged her to see where she was at in her planning process and if she’d be willing to have me as her photographer.
Fortunately enough, Brea & Atik booked me and the rest is history. It was so sweet meeting her family, friends, and the momager (mom-manager) I had heard so much about. A simple, sweet day with their closest family and friends at lovely Code’s Mill Perth wedding. Was lovely to see Amanda and Nan of Country 101.1, and one of our other epic, local country girls, Adrienne Taylor.
Next stop, getting in to photographing Taylor Swift’s wedding! Or maybe I should be starting with the lovely Kira Isabella & Jordan McIntosh. Not to each other, but you know. Find your others guys! ;) Have also been chatting with Jojo Mason about doing some portraits!
