Laura + Bobby

We sat on the beach in Barbados; Max, Laura and I, what seems like much longer than two and half a year ago, after winning a contest through Majic 100. Breakfast in Barbados was a blast, where Laura was the promotions coordinator at the time, meaning she was our source contact. She spoke of her boyfriend, Bobby, back home, whom she was just waiting and waiting to pop the question. We had that in common, and spoke lots that week about our men, rings, and weddings; telling me when that moment came, that she would give me a shout. I remember the day I got that text message; that photo that I dreamed of getting. He had put a ring on it, one evening, while walking their beloved doberman, Loki. We went out for brunch to celebrate! We spend an evening wandering the exact same spot downtown for their engagement session not long after.

It was a rainy Saturday morning, where the weather channel stated that the rain was supposed to stop and restart at just the perfect time…and it did just that. It did not rain a drop any second we were outside. Laura knew how important all of the little details were to start the day; the dress, the invites, ring boxes, ribbons, anything matching in colour…you name it. Sounds for any photographer’s heartstrings. Every piece to this day was handmade by her mother and herself, and every piece was perfect. Every forest green and gold detail was meticulously placed throughout the day. Max and I were so honoured just to be there in sharing this perfect day, on top of being trusted with the wedding photos of our new found friend.
