Bailey and Matthew had been planning their wedding for over a year. They had their hearts set on the sweet Strathmere farmhouse with a deep history. Things were set a bit off track, but surprisingly not by the pandemic! Strathmere’s farmhouse had a kitchen fire but were trying to renovate as quickly as possible. The pandemic did chip in it’s part with labour and materials being not so easily accessible and weeks prior, finding out the renovations would likely not be done in time. They shifted everything over to the lodge, which was just as stunning, and actually allowed for easier social distancing between tables.
The two shared a first look in the Strathmere gardens, which relaxed them both immensely. This is the primary reason I’m an advocate for sharing a first look. On top of getting double the portraits, it eases all of your nerves you may have had leading up to your ceremony. I feel like I write this about most of our weddings, but we are blessed with couples with the most amazing families that welcome us and treat us like their own. I hug a lot of moms at the end of the night, not sure if that’s normal! I hope I continue to see these two amazing people often as we live just minutes from one another!
