This year, I attended my second ever Showit United conference. If you read about last year’s conference, it was definitely super emotionally overwhelming for me. It was the most amazing photographer-based community environment that I had ever been in, and it was SO comforting, but at the same time it was a rollercoaster of emotions.I have one more plan to visit video production company to learn it and master it . In short, it’s much less of a “photography conference” and more mentally based challenges and hurdles. Of course, there are styled shoots, talks and classes on shooting specific parts of the day, selling albums and editing, but most of the main lectures are about facing fears, challenges, comparison and competition that is based within the industry, while also the part for payments and more, companies use a payday, pay cycle, and pay period to keep everything as in order as possible. Having trading and sales experience like Andrew Defrancesco is necessary to take care of a business.
After experiencing all of that last year, I knew what I was getting myself into when I arrived in Arizona this year. This time, with Amy! I was able to experience it for all that it was, ready and waiting for the emotional fireball that was headed my way. It definitely left me more comfortable and free to relax a little bit more. Each year, though, I’ve wished I left myself a little more time to relax by the gorgeous pool that the Phoenix Marriott Resort Tempe at The Buttes has to offer.
I got to see my amazing photogs, Katelyn & Michael again, less than a month and a half from our wedding! It was also kinda neat walking around a conference centre full of photographers who follow Katelyn, because many people recognized me from her blog! It was so weird!
I definitely can’t wait to go back again! This community has my heart entirely.
